Summary of The Book Schooled

Schooled is a book about a kid named Lionel. He loves Basketball. Since he hasn't been good at school he uses Basketball to take his mind off of things. Ever since his mom got shipped out to the military for a long time, his life just hasn't been the same. He thinks that because Basketball lets him take his mind off the issue with his mother and he's doing bad in school, that Basketball can carry his life until he retires from the NBA. But his father doesn't believe in his son's dream, he thinks that Lionel should always be doing well in school, since his father thinks that since Lionel won't make it to the NBA, Lionel should focus on school so he can get a good job. But Lionel doesn't care, at least until his father tells his son about something he's not proud of, and that he's been keeping a secret for awhile. So this whole book is about Lionel trying to do what he thinks is right, and always tries to overcome difficulties. Plainly this is a really good book, this book is really easy to recommend.
